It was developed by crossing a purple Afghani with Dutch sativa and indica strains, a method which has been in use in the Netherlands since 1983. The result of this crossing technique is an outdoor feminized strain that is perfectly adapted to the western European climate and that produces considerable yields.
At the onset of the flowering stage, the plants calyxes start to turn purple, and that’s where this baby gets its name from. This beautiful purple colouring occurs in 9 out of 10 plants.
